Our granddog came to visit last night. He'll be with us a few days, and we're planning to make the most of the time! He's good help in the garden...though he turns up his nose at snails. He loves carrying out pruned material, and even does a bit of pruning on his own.
He found an old deer antler today, and that has become his new favorite toy. He's been carrying it proudly around the yard. When we walked out back, he was especially interested in all the places the deer has nested for the evening.
Finally, we sat out on the deck together to watch yet another beautiful sunset. I will probably inflict my granddog on anyone reading this for the next few days. He is indeed a thing of beauty in my life!
