And home in the garden
Our granddog was a bit of a pill today. That said, he had a wonderful time at the river, and on the way back home he spotted what I imagine may be his first butterfly. It reminded me of a child, seeing a butterfly for the first time. He stopped in his tracks, followed it intently, with wide eyes...then tried to catch it, quite unsuccessfully.
While working in the garden this evening, he discovered he could crawl through one of my lavender plants, and did so, repeatedly. He also took to leaping over the daffodils (when he wasn't running through them) and to sampling a little bit of most everything in the garden. Alas, he has lost his taste for dandelions. He sniffed at them, and then left them alone. Not so with the daffodils. Fortunately, he only eats one piece of a flower, then quits. And he's leaving the roses alone, this time around.
Tomorrow - a hike at McNary Wildlife Refuge! It should be fun for all concerned!
