March 11, 2013 - Back Home, It's Spring!

We returned home to spring!  Or so it seems, at any rate.  The crocus are all in full bloom, the daffodils are almost blooming, and the sprouts on the roses are so long I promptly grabbed a pair of pruning shears and started in.  I've done about forty so far, which means I'm half way there.  Only during early spring do I ever consider that I might have a few too many roses...

Everything else is sprouting and budding as well.  I disentangled some rose canes from a current bush, which is already covered with new leaves.  The perennials are all beginning to come up, and as we have had little rain, the weeds are holding off for now.  (That won't last!)

And yes, our beautiful sunsets continue.  There was another one this evening...primarily golds, as the sun slipped out from behind some clouds and lit up the sky and the river, right at the close of the day.
